on each poster factors that seem consistent are the theme colours red, black and white this connotes danger, blood, love, violence and passion which are all consistent in this film from the violence in majority of films by Quentin Tarantino to the love quest driven by the macguffin Kerry Washington aka Broomhilda Von Shaft (Django's Wife). The use of a pure colour ,white, connotes that the quest isn't about revenge its about love which is pure also Django's right to fight back against discrimination and indecency. another factor that each poster have in common is the use of a large font for the title of the film this so that the audience can identify what the film is the font also connotes that this is a Tarantino film because it also base a western theme to it swell as the film and the boldness of the title emphasises this this also implies the tire is the most important feature of the poster. We see Jamie Foxx and Christopher Waltz are o all the posters which portrays the importance of the charters that they play and the narrative that is surrounded around these two drive the narrative of the movie however in the middle poster Jamie Foxx stood front centre this emphasis his characters importance the fact that the film is named after his character this poster even thought the two character are stood beside each other Christopher Waltz character is shown as the more important character as he holds a large gun and Leonardo DiCaprio holds a tube in his hand a significant in these posters is the fact that Jamie and Christopher both wear hats however Leonardo doesn't this shows the groups in the film and the split between the good and the bad the use of blood splatter on this middle poster conveys the use of violence in Tarantino a films again identifying with the audience it is a film directed by Tarantino it also portrays the brutality of the slave era in reality and having this on a white background emphasises the ideology of violence and brutality.
